Evidently I Do Better When I Am…

away from home. When I am home, I am so busy that I do not have the time to sit down and post. It seems that I have to go out of town to find time to blog. At any rate, I am preaching tonight at Stamps Creek Baptist Church in Salem, SC. Since tomorrow is our 29th anniversary, Joan and I let a day early to spend a couple of days at a bed and breakfast called Fieldstone Farms in Westminster, SC. There are several rooms in the house, but we are staying in a converted blacksmith’s shop. They turned it into a very nice, comfortable and quiet apartment. We spent the night here last night and the only sound we heard was a braying donkey. Not too bad! Joan left this morning to go to Commerce, GA to buy some duds for our grandson, Clayton. So, I am here, alone, studying. Well, I will be in a moment.

Anyway, I want to thank the Lord for my wife. As I said, we have been married 29 year. It has been a blessing. There have been some times that were hard, but by and large, our marriage has been wonderful. Even when I was lost, God was guiding my life so that I married the right woman. I praise Him for that! So, if you read this, Happy Anniversary Joan. I love you and I thank God for you every day. You have shown me unconditional love. You gave me two wonderful children. You completed my life. I am thankful for you!
