Good Service Last Night

The first night of the meeting at New Buffalo Baptist Church is Grover, NC went very well. The church is an excited, vibrant congregation of redeemed people who love the Lord Jesus Christ. Their Pastor, Brother Adam Green is exuberant and charismatic (No not that kind!). He has an infectious passion for the Lord and for the church. To say the least, it was an exciting evening. The capstone of the service came at the end when a woman, probably around the age of 70, was gloriously saved by the grace of God. Hallelujah! Please keep praying for the rest of the meeting. I am looking for the Lord to do great things among us this week.

Jubilee In LaGrange, GA

I am in LaGrange, GA for the annual Jubilee at Living Waters Baptist Church, where Richard Clinard is the Pastor. The service last night was great! Brother Stacey Lane, Pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Morganton preached. I preached after he did. The Lord moved in the service and helped us with His Word. The meeting continues through Saturday. Please pray for the meeting, and if you are in the LaGrange area, stop in. they will put out a chair for you.

Let’s Try This Again

I’ve been away from the blog for a long time. My absence was intentional. For some reason, I seemed to have lost my passion for writing blog posts. I think I would like to try it again.

I am preaching this week, actually last night and tonight at White Plains First Baptist Church just outside of Anniston, AL. The Pastor is Brother Eric Snider. White Plains is a church God has blessed. They have experienced phenomenal growth over the past several years. There is a good spirit there, and it is easy to worship and preach at White Plains Baptist. Their Pastor is a tremendous preacher, and the Lord has honored his years of faithful ministry to this church. If you ever preach there, beware! They know their Bibles! That is a such a rare treat in these days of rampant biblical illiteracy.

We had a great service last night. A few hundred people came out to worship, and the Lord greatly helped us. I bless His name for that. Please pray for the service tonight.

Next week, March 7-9, Living Waters Baptist Church in LaGrange, GA will host a Bible conference. Many great preachers will be preaching in the meeting, along with one not so great preacher, yours truly. This is a good meeting. If you are in the area, please drop by for worship. The Pastor if Brother Richard Clinard. Brother Richard is a true man of God, and a powerful preacher in his own right.

Hope someone still stops by these parts. I will be posting some thoughts related to the iPad and about some of the apps I find helpful.

God bless!

Still Here…Really!

Hello faithful blog readers. I am amazed by the number of people who still stop by this blog, even though I haven’t written anything in two months. Sorry about that, but that’s my life right now. Anyway, I just wanted to stop by to ask you all to pray for the Jubilee this weekend in LaGrange, GA. Living Waters Baptist Church and Pastor Richard Clinard are hosting the meeting. It continues morning and evening through tomorrow. Evangelist Terry Pace and Pastor Keith Allison preached great messages last night. Brother Tom Gilliam is here, and I am hoping that he is preaching today. I saw several other great preachers in the meeting, so the preaching ought to be wonderful. However, I am supposed to preach this evening, so not all the preaching will be good. So, please say a pray for the meeting, and if you are in the area, please drop in. Thanks and God bless!

Yep

Here we are again, talking to you after such a long absence. It is not that I am against blogging, it’s just that there is no time to do it. Anyway, we are at the seashore this week. I am preaching just a little north and west of North Myrtle Beach, SC at Dulah Baptist CHurch. The Pastor is Brother Ragsdale Allsbrook. He is a precious man of God. We had a great service last night, and I praise the Lord for that. If you think of it, please pray for the meeting.

Thought I’d Say Something

It’s been a while since I took the time to blog. There are various reasons for the break, but none that are worth sharing. Suffice it to say that God is good and He is blessing in His Own unique way.

I am preaching this week at Casey Creek Baptist Church in Chesnee, SC. The Pastor is Brother Gary Adkins. Thus far, the meeting has been going well. The attendance is good, and there is a good spirit in the house of the Lord. Brother Gary is a precious man of God and I am enjoying the time we are spending together in meeting this week. Please pray for the remainder of the meeting.

Well, I did it. I said something! May say more later.

Hello From Puerto Morelos

I am sitting in the courtyard of a small hotel in Puerto Morelos, Mexico using their free wi-fi. I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know we made it safely to our destination. It is sunny this morning. the temperature is hovering around 80 degrees. I am looking out over the Caribbean Ocean, and it is calm, turquoise blue and stunningly beautiful. Today does not hold a lot of adventure for us. We are off to find me a hat so my delicate, baby-like skin does not get fried in the sun. Then, we will head out to the beach for a while to sit and soak up some rays. Well, Joan will soak up the rays. I will be thoroughly covered from head to toe and any visible skin will be swathed in a think coat of sunblock to protect my delicate, baby-like skin.

When we got here yesterday, we walked into town to buy a few supplies and to get a bite of dinner. We ate at this quaint restaurant that served the best guacamole and pico de gallo I have ever eaten. Joan had nachos. I had chicken nachos. we both had a Coke. By the way, Cokes are better in Mexico. They still make them with cane sugar and not corn syrup. The difference is worth the distance. they remind me of the soft drinks of my youth. The bill was just over $10.00. Cheap, delicious and filling. Well, I had better go for now. We have a hard day of nothing to do. I will check in manana, if possible.
